I was curious with what has happened with Written Images, a print-on-demand, one-of-a-kind, individual book creation with a compilation of digital art randomly assembled through a computed generated algorithm when ordered. Wow that’s a mouthful! Here’s the original concept that I first learned about on Trendhunter, which I love as a resource (in my sidebar). The artists have been selected through a juried process and the Written Images project has started their printing with start-up money through Kickstarter, a cool crowdsource funding site for artists. The Marriage of Two Posts for Gulf Coast Aid
This is where two posts meet. I could have easily found a quick mention for Friday and included my weekly Kick Start your Weekend music but I’m dealing with a conundrum and in also trying to find something to write for my other weekly blog post, Slipcovers for your Walls, I realized as I was searching for this one, that in thinking through this creative process, I found the answer to both. Mother’s Day Tribute
It was a working weekend for me and my husband so I didn’t get to spend Mother’s Day as I would like, plus it’s a bittersweet celebration for me for me to remember from 2 years past — just seems like yesterday. Although, I did get to paint a painting in tribute to my mother. It is after one of the camellias in her New Orleans garden. I think it’s name is Cherries Jubilee — how appropriately Southern.
