Performance Art on the Plinth
A new ongoing performance art project has started for the people of UK called One & Other, where everyday until October 14th participants can submit photos as living portraits that will occupy the vacant Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square in London. If your submission is drawn, you’ll also gain a performance spot on the Plinth. This pedestal has been reserved for statues of kings and generals but it is currently empty — unless you want to fill with your own creation. Polka Dot Psychedelic
See the Birthday Balloons post on Slipcovers for Your Walls along with below — both appropriate for an upcoming 4th of July celebration. This is a bit psychedelic but too happy not to post. Artist Yayoi Kusama has an obsession with polka dots. Here’s another look at one of her earlier installations. I like jazz and rhythm and blues, being from New Orleans, how could I not, so here’s a non-traditional patriotic song in time for the 4th of July, Freedom ’90 by George Michael. Slipcovers for Your Walls
This past electronic art exhibit (below), in its ability to demonstrate the ocean bed through electronic dots, reminds me of a beachy Slipcovers for Your Walls blog post today. This is a new blog that I’ve started for casart coverings along with the casart crew — solely related to ways to use casart™ and interior design.
